SHOWCASE: Peace of Paper: Mindfulness and Global Impact Exhibit with Camila Higuera (Free)
Step into a space of quiet intention and profound connection with Peace of Paper, an exhibit born from the mindful artistry of Camila Higuera's workshop participants. This collection showcases a tapestry of unique paper creations, each a testament to the idea that small gestures, infused with present awareness, can ripple outwards to affect the world positively.
Inspired by Camila's own journey to cultivate peace in her home country through the energy of handcrafted paper lanterns, these pieces reflect individual explorations of cultural elements, personal narratives, and universal aspirations for harmony. Each delicate fold and carefully placed detail embodies a maker's hope, inviting you to reflect on the invisible connections between people, land, and memory.
Throughout the exhibit, you'll experience live performances that further deepen the themes of peace and connection. We also invite you to engage personally by bringing an offering to our communal altar, a dedicated space for reflection and shared intention. Art and other offerings will also be for sale.
Experience how the simple medium of paper transforms into powerful symbols of peace, community, and the shared human desire for a better world.
Open to all, free to exhibit and attend, donations are welcome.
To be part of the day, join SPARKSHOP on July 31 or turn up on the day and bring your piece of paper (no bigger than letter size) to place on the altar (no hanging options/tape can be used). Set up will begin from 7am. Doors open at 2pm. Performances from 5 - 8pm. Close 9pm.
